Yum, pumpkin!

Nathan tries to take a family photo, but Caleb is tired from the evenings excitement.

Smile for the camera, Caleb!

Success at last!

Cooking with Mom

Caleb's first experience with the pots and pans. He has a blast!

Hey Mom, we're out of pots!

Ooh, I'm not cleaning that up.

There are 6 pie tins in the package.
Caleb meticulously pulls each one out.

Taste Testing

At the Window

Caleb LOVES the outdoors. The next best thing to actually being outside is looking out the window.
His bedroom overlooks the backyard.

First he climbs up to the window and balances himself.
Then he hits the window and talks (well, he makes happy sounds).

If you ask him to look Chloe (our dog), even if he is across the room,
he will climb up to the window and look for her.

Just the other day he was licking the window. Yes, licking. He put his face close up to the window, opened his mouth wide, and slobbered all over the window. To add to this delight, he smeared the drool all over. Look closely ...can you tell?

Looking for Chloe

Where's Chloe dog?

There she is!

Rise and Shine

Who can resist this face? Even if it is 4:30 am.

Looking innocent

Caleb will go off to play and then come back to "check" on me or Dad.
Mostly he wants to roll around, snuggle, and play.

Once Caleb decides to wake up (which can be a long and uncomfortable decision for him and anyone else around) then he is a happy camper!

Man on a Mission

Caleb has learned to climb stairs...isn't that exciting? When he isn't darting for the fireplace to scrape black soot under his fingernails, he is making a break for the stairwell. When Nathan or I follow him up and he makes it to the top he feels SO accomplished. When he's finished he turns around to look at us as if to say, "OK, what next?"

The long journey upwards.

Down Time

Caleb has discovered a new way to sit. He sits on his knees and wraps his feet around his bottom as a sort of support. Then he freely (and safely) explores whatever is in front of him.

Hmm... What's in here?

Caleb and his Winnie the Pooh stickers. Like every thing else, if he sucessfully pulls a sticker off, he puts it in his mouth.

Can you get a sticker for me, Mom?

In My Room

Welcome to Caleb's room! Caleb loves crawling around, climbing, looking out the window, pulling down the animal posters, and generally causing pandemonium. Today the vacuum cleaner was an especially fun addition to Caleb's play things. We had to invest in the foam alphabet floor puzzle more for his protection than his entertainment. Already he is daring and fearless!

I'm coming for the camera, Mom!

Easily sidetracked...

I love to laugh!

One Little Monkey Jumping on the Bed

Peek a boo!

Look how tall I am!

Daddy's Little Helper

Summer is nearly here and the nights are warming up. We recently invested in a fan and watching Caleb "help" Nathan with its assembly was a blast!

Reading the directions

Hand me that part over there, son.

Caleb Learns to Crawl

Ready, set, go!

Ready or not, here I come!

Spooky Hat

Caleb got a "spooky hat" in a recent parcel.

All worn out from a fit of laughter.

Look mom, no hands!

Daddy thinks he's got me, but really I've got him.

Good Things ...

...DO come in small packages!

Caleb really enjoyed beating the flaps of the box. He would hit one down and the flap would come up all by itself. Amazing!

Where's Caleb?

There he is!

A Parcel from the US

It is always exciting to get mail (bills excluded) no matter where in the world you live . Caleb got to join in the excitement of opening a parcel from the States, but after a few minutes of exploring its contents he found the box to be a much cooler toy.

Hmm, how does this taste?

Great, a musical toy. Actually, it's not that bad.

Hey, how do you work this thing?
